Erik graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Biology. Prior to joining
MDRCBB in his current role, he contributed to the lab on a part time basis since 2016.
Moving forward, Erik will primarily work with company related projects, however, being
trained to analyze surfaces by XPS, fluorescent microscopy, and dynamic water contact
angles he will likely contribute in a minor role to a variety of projects.

Sunil obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Science with a specialization in Chemistry from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, India. Subsequently, he pursued his PhD in Material Science from the Indian Institute of Science (India) working on hydroxyapatite based bioceramics for bone tissue engineering and nanomaterial/small molecule based antimicrobials. Following his PhD, Sunil worked as a worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Sunil has since been a Postdoctoral Associate at 2BI working on the fabrication of nanofiber membranes with mucoadhesive and tooth enamel adhesion properties for oral biosensing as well as periodontal tissue regeneration at the hard-soft tissue interface. Outside of lab, Sunil likes to travel and explore new places, long drives, and watch movies.
