Erik graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Biology. Prior to joining
MDRCBB in his current role, he contributed to the lab on a part time basis since 2016.
Moving forward, Erik will primarily work with company related projects, however, being
trained to analyze surfaces by XPS, fluorescent microscopy, and dynamic water contact
angles he will likely contribute in a minor role to a variety of projects.

Trang Nguyen graduated from HCM University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam) with a DDS degree and obtained her PhD degree in Oral Implantology from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Japan). Her PhD thesis was about peri-implantitis, which is also one of her dental implant research interests. Prior to joining 2BI, Trang was an International Team for Implantology (ITI) scholar at the University of Michigan and also received a research fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. She is currently pursuing her dental education in the Advanced Standing for International Dentists program at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests are dental implants and dental implant related biomaterials. In her free time, she likes practicing music, hanging out with friends and loves travelling.
